Peter Pan

This Christmas Season I was Assistant to the Costume Supervisor on Imagine Productions pantomime Peter Pan.

During prep, I was undertaking fittings and then adjusting costumes where need be.

During the run of the show I was dressing our principle cast members and then leading up the quick changes with our ensemble cast. I also worked closely with my supervisor to learn about budgeting and other essential paperwork.

Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake

I had the pleasure of being a Dresser on Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake while it was on tour at the Curve Theatre, Leicester.

I was the 2nd Men's Dresser and loved being part of such a prestigious ballet. It was such a great experience learning how to properly execute a successful costume plot.

During the shows month's long tour run here in Leicester, I was in charge of Wardrobe Maintenance.

I was in charge of the washing, ironing and sorting of all the costumes in the production. From this I have learnt important maintenance skills and how important it is to be well organised and punctual.

Aladdin

Last Christmas Season I was Wardrobe Assistant on Jordan Productions pantomime Aladdin.

Here I was assisting the Costume Supervisor and together we were fitting costumes and sewing the alterations. During shows I was working with the principles to achieve the quick changes.

I took the job knowing that I would need to cover the Costume Supervisor whist she was away on leave. This was important for me as I’m very keen to further my costume career and its great having more experience in higher up roles. Whilst she was away I was in charge of costume maintenance, laundry between shows, and communicating efficiently with the Director and DSM.
